Petr Vačkář
I have always been passionate about languages and teaching. Since I started working (about 30 years ago), I have devoted a substantial part of my career to educating professional audiences in the industries I have worked in (beauty and service). In 2005 I moved to Sydney, Australia, confident that my English skills collected through hard work in the Czech school system would suffice. I could not be more wrong. I enrolled on an English course quite similar to the methodology practised at LINGO. Suggestopedia with some more focus on grammar. Just in 5months of intense course, I went from A2 to C2 and successfully sat the IELTS exam. I knew one day I would become an ESL teacher.
My dream came true in 2022 when I qualified through TEFL certification to be an ESL teacher, and when I moved back to Czechia in March 2023, I took on the opportunity to work with LINGO.
I am ever so grateful to be able to share my passion and English skills in such a fun and effective way with our students.
